WOODSIDE FARM CAMPING SITE

Was originally a well established Caravan Club Certificated Location.

In 2004 we applied for a site licence so that everyone who owns a tent could enjoy the peace and tranquility that the site has to offer.

Our aim is to provide you with a peaceful break in the beautiful surroundings that the village of Thurne has to offer.

The site is located at the end of the village, down a dead end lane, therefore, it is incredibly peaceful, with the only passing traffic being that of our guests staying on the site.

The site is approx. 1 acre in size with only 10 pitches. It is very spacious and roomy with unspoilt views across the open countryside

There are no funfairs, arcades or discos nearby (a blessing for parents)! ,although these can be readily found within a 10 mile radius.

Some entertainment can be found at the village pub, the Lion Inn, which is within easy walking distance from WOODSIDE FARM. It can also provide you with your meals ,if required. It also has a shop for all your grocery needs during the peak season ( May to October).

We are located in the small village of Thurne which is only 5 miles from the A47 acle.

REGION

The famous weavers way public footpaths run all around the area for some truly beautiful walks.

If you prefer, the Norfolk broads can be accessed from the village of Potter Heigham ( 4 miles) where you can hire a boat for the day or take a guided tour to learn all about the history of the broads.

GREAT YARMOUTH

Probably the most famous seaside resort in Norfolk. The ‘seaside lovers paradise’with lots of coffee shops, amusements, funfairs and arcades.

HEMSBY

A beautiful stretch of unspoilt coastline with a lovely beach sheltered by the sand dunes.

Follow signs for CAISTER (A1064)

continue for approx ½ mile. sign post on left for Clippesby / Oby.

Take a left turn here. Continue for approx ½ mile to crossroads take left turn at crossroads signposted Oby / Thurne.

continue straight down this road for approx. 2 miles .

this will bring you into village of THURNE.

Lion Inn on right, white cottages to left. Continue down road until you see a dead end sign immediately infront of you.

Enter dead end sign and follow lane to right.

This will bring you into WOODSIDE FARM.
